Campus Recruiting Forum:

Good Morning Talent Formula Community!

Mike and I are hosting an all day social media conference today at the University of Toronto in partnership with Brainstorm Strategy Group Inc. Brainstorm & specifically president Graham Donald are huge supporters and friends of Talent Formula. Graham really helped us kick off our official speaking offerings a few years ago.

Over 58% of Millennials are open to being with one company for their entire career; however, 23% think they will still be with their first employer after 2 years. Social media is a tool for recruiting, onboarding and creating ongoing engagement with this generation.

Today’s agenda is jam-packed and we will have a full room of employment brand managers, recruiters, and university contacts. Our agenda focuses on innovative recruiting solutions using social media platforms.

Our Agenda:

  • Overview of Gen Y media habits
  • Social network essentials: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Foursquare, including hands on demos and work shops
  • Up & Coming platforms: Instagram, Pinterest & Google +
  • Building a Strategy for Social Media: SWOT analysis of your brand online, defining your target market, brand voice, and content strategy
  • #CRF2013

If You Aren’t in the Room, Don’t Fret – You Can Still Participate.

Our favourite thing about Twitter is you can capture the highlights and engage with the speakers remotely. Just check out the conference hashtag #CRF2013. Also tweet with us via @talentformula, @chelsea_newton & @imamike

Social media is one tool in your employment branding and campus recruiting tool kit. If you are attending #CRF2013 today, we would love to hear your questions & comments below about the day. We will also be creating a storify summary of the highlights! Check our our profile here.

    Cheers,
    Chelsea & Michael
